Plot summary
A documentary examines consumerism and overproduction, and the methods brands use to hold on to their customers. Clothes, electronics and household goods that nobody wants end up in landfills and waste sites around the world, and the film weighs what that discarding costs. Former executives from sportswear and consumer goods companies, repair advocates and campaigners for climate justice and workers' rights all contribute to its account of how goods are made, sold and thrown away.
