Plot summary
The film examines the Bishop Sycamore High School scandal, which grew out of a nationally televised football game. The school's team, little known before it faced top-ranked IMG Academy, was not what it seemed. Roy Johnson, the former head coach, appears, and he was interviewed over three days for no pay. Fact-checkers and multiple other people were used to verify the claims and stories he told, and some of them, among them his admiration for Donald Trump, were left out of the finished film. Former colleagues and former Bishop Sycamore players appear as well, along with journalists and a school sports investigator.
