Plot summary
Buttu is a struggling fish farmer in a rural Odisha village, where he lives with his mother, the sorceress Ratnamala. He wants better prospects somewhere else, but he has no money to go. Rinki, the daughter of the village doctor, has feelings for him. On his way home one night, the ghost of a villager named Amari seizes him. After that, the ghost inside Buttu comes into contact with Rinki and with Ratnamala, who wants to keep her son safe.
