Plot summary

Uganda has one of the youngest populations in the world, and its government is among the most flagrantly anti-democratic. Bobi Wine is a popular singer, an opposition leader and a member of parliament, and his wife, Barbie Kyagulanyi, campaigns at his side. When he announces that he is running for president against Yoweri Museveni, who has ruled the country for 36 years, young Ugandans are thrilled. They fill parks and streets for his speeches and sing his anthems of peace and freedom. Museveni's government answers with a crackdown, and Bobi and his crew face arrests, beatings, torture, riots and raids.
