Plot summary
Dean Murdock runs the Spotlite Theater chain and buys an abandoned movie house where, decades earlier, a fired manager killed a staff member and then turned on the audience on closing night. He promotes Jennifer, Adrian and Malcolm to renovate the place and dangles a $1,000 bonus, to the dismay of his assistant Miss Blackwell. Selena, a concession worker left out of the promotion, makes a scene and is escorted out. Cleaning upstairs, the trio find old reels; when they project them, the projector catches fire and Jennifer is frightened by a man in a tuxedo who grips her throat and then disappears. Selena and Darcy ask to be transferred, and Murdock agrees.
