Plot summary
Billie Eilish takes Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour to Manchester, where the show is filmed in 3D. The tour supports her third studio album, a record released in 2024 that draws on themes of identity, body image, relationships and fame's pressures, and that arrives without advance singles. Its songs shift between quiet ballads, alternative pop, electronics and orchestral passages. Behind-the-scenes footage appears alongside the concert, and virtual reality technology is used for viewing on headsets. During a Manchester show Eilish announces that the concert is being filmed, and the finished project is her third concert film, following earlier ones from 2021 and 2022.
