Plot summary
Bradley Crowder and David McKay grew up as friends in Midland, Texas, a conservative town, and held liberal, anti-war beliefs. Those beliefs led them to Brandon Darby, an activist with credibility from his work helping Hurricane Katrina victims through the Common Ground Collective. Darby, Crowder, McKay and a few others planned a protest of the 2008 Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Minnesota, and built shields to protect themselves from the rubber bullets police use against protesters.
