Batch '81 (1982) on Netflix

Plot summary

Sid Lucero studies at a university, and his mother wants him to take zoology on the way to medical school. What draws him instead is Alpha Kappa Omega, one of the school's most prominent fraternities. Fifteen applicants present themselves, and eight are taken into the organization's six-month initiation, overseen by the seniors the neophytes call masters. Their leader, Vince, orients the batch before the first hazing. Tests follow over the months: a public run in underwear and sneakers, a glass of beer the batchmates have spat into for one neophyte, and an AKO alumnus working as a doctor fits Sid with surgical instruments to gauge his tolerance for pain. Mariel, Sid's love interest, voices her worry for his safety.
