Plot summary
Majer is freed from prison by an amnesty and has no family left. His elementary school classmate Ivan lives in a Roma ghetto and offers him a home, and Majer accepts. Ivan explains that he wants the school reopened, the one where Majer taught and briefly served as principal, because its closure has not been good for the community around him. Majer begins reaching out to former colleagues and former students to ask for their help. Many of those students have children of their own, and the encounters bring comical situations.
