Plot summary
Meribella is celebrating its 500th anniversary, and popstar Keira has come to the kingdom for a run of concerts, though she cannot write new songs and is dealing with her overeager manager, Seymour Crider. Princess Tori would rather sing and play with her younger sisters than see to her royal duties, and her aunt Duchess Amelia presses her to behave. The two meet at a royal reception and become friends, and they discover that Keira's magic microphone and Tori's magic hairbrush let each of them take on the other's appearance, while their necklaces stay the same. Tori also shows Keira the royal family's secret gardenia, whose flowers are studded with diamonds. Using the microphone and hairbrush, the girls plan to trade lives for a day and teach each other their routines.
