Plot summary
Quignard is a professor whose team of researchers studies PPM, an immunizing protein that penguins produce, as part of a research project aimed at a Nobel Prize. Christophine is a shy young PhD student in his group, and she is secretly in love with him. She injects herself with the penguin genome, hoping to move his research forward and to get closer to him. As the experiments go on, she wants him more and more, while he stays concerned with the results of his experiments. She keeps her feelings to herself.
