Plot summary
A trapper named Ben Corbett is accused of murder in the Alaskan wilderness, and Eric Desmond, an ecologist from Los Angeles who also serves as an amateur marshal, is one of the men who arrests him. Ben must be moved from the isolated village along a long route to the authorities. Ben is set on escape, and the trappers he lives among are ready to help. Eric also has a greedy politician to deal with.
