Plot summary
Artifacts from an ancient Aztec pyramid built for Tlaloc, the rain god, have reached an American university, where they are to be studied and displayed. Among the pieces is a mummy in remarkably good condition. A professor and a handful of archaeology students are given the task of preparing the collection for display. While the group works, one of the students lifts the amulet from the mummy and gives it to his lover as a present. Norman, a fellow student, watches the exchange and goes unseen.
