Plot summary

Eli has lived in Chicago for about ten years and works there as a swimming coach. A lawyer's call brings him the news that his father Yehuda has been dead for a month, and Eli flies to Tel Aviv to sell the family house. Across the street he meets Moti, a neighbor, who mentions that his son Yotam is newly engaged and pushes Eli to look him up. The old house still holds his father's guns and the commendation certificates from his father's career in the police. At Yotam's flower shop, Eli meets Iris, the fiancée, a florist who left her religious family at fifteen and has been cut off from them ever since. Yotam invites Eli to dinner, and Eli proposes a hike back to the hidden spring the two friends once visited.
