Plot summary
After the Soviet Union broke apart, Ukraine's government grew corrupt and its infrastructure was crippled. Many young people ended up homeless, and some became addicted to a mixture of cold medicine and alcohol that they injected. In the early 2000s, Gennadiy Mokhnenko, a pastor from Mariupol, began fighting child homelessness. He forcibly took street kids to Pilgrim Republic, the biggest rehabilitation center in the former Soviet Union. His tough methods made him a hero to some and a vigilante to others, but he continued his work.
