Aftermath: Population Zero (2008) on Netflix

Plot summary

On a Friday, June 13, humanity is gone all at once and leaves everything running. Cars with nobody at the wheel spin out of control and crash, buses crash too, and small aircraft drop from the sky while bigger planes hold their altitude on autopilot until their tanks empty. Machines keep going only as long as the electricity does. The plants that burn coal exhaust their stock, and the grid fails: Las Vegas casinos, suburbs, hospitals and cafes go dark. Pennsylvania's wind turbines still turn, but with nobody at the controls the computers shut the system down. At Niagara Falls the tunnels flood and parts of Ontario and New York lose power. Pets grow hungry and raid cupboards and toilets for food and water, while zoo animals test fences that no longer carry a current.
