Absolute Deception (2013) on Netflix

Plot summary

FBI agent John Nelson's key informant, Miles, is abducted and shot, and all that remains is a severed finger. Needing a new lead, Nelson flies to New York City to see Rebecca Scott, a widowed magazine reporter, and tells her that her husband Miles, dead in her mind for years, was murdered only recently. Miles had been Nelson's informant, a part of his life Rebecca knew nothing about. She joins Nelson at Australia's Gold Coast to find out who the man she married really was, and as the two work through what he left behind, unknown attackers move against them.
