Plot summary
For years Lallo has served as caretaker to the bedridden widow Bahuji, with Suhaani, who lives downstairs, and Atmaram, the ghost of a singing sensation, as her companions. She wants the fable sort of love she reads about in her favorite novel, Kagaz ki Kashti, and talks Bahuji into letting her leave the house to look for a suitor, though the fast-food joint brings her no one. Bahuji's death leaves her the house, and Bahuji's relatives tell the police they find the inheritance suspicious. Lallo remakes her appearance, drawing the attention of several men, and each one she likes dies in an accident.
