Plot summary
Byun Jae-wook works as a prosecutor and has a quick temper. When a small-time criminal he questions is found dead, the evidence points at Jae-wook, and he is convicted of murder and sent to prison for fifteen years. The other inmates treat him badly at first. He handles legal matters for the guards, which earns him a special standing, and he helps prisoners and officers with their cases; the inmates call him Sir Young Gam, or Elder. A company owner asks his advice about a man he beat for raping his daughter. Five years on, a young fraudster named Han Chi-won arrives in the prison and knows details of Jae-wook's case.
