Plot summary

In Lyon, Gabrielle Aurore Deneige presents the weather on local television and lives with her mother, Marie Deneige, who works in a bookstore. A promotional talk show and an autograph evening arranged by Charles's friend Capucine Jamet bring her into the path of the writer Charles Saint-Denis, who keeps a flat in town while his wife Dona stays at their country house. Gabrielle is promoted to host her own show. Paul André Claude Gaudens, heir to a pharmaceutical fortune and an enemy of Charles, invites her to dinner, while Charles, a dismissive married man, takes her to an auction and then to his Paris apartment. Paul can be possessive and threatening.
