Plot summary
Pat, an aspiring writer who dislikes being called Patricia, is approaching forty and keeps getting in her own way, nudged along by a voice inside her head. She has reconnected with Jan, a musician who is unsure of his direction, and she wants to hold on to him. She also wants to mend her relationship with Flavie, her teenage daughter, whose companion is a dog named Jesus that only Flavie can see. Pat's plan is a week at her family's cabin in the Quebec woods in deep winter. The cabin is also where memories she has buried begin to resurface.
