Plot summary
On a family trip, a woman, her husband and their children travel to a secluded island. The island is run by a private company owned by Robert, a foreign acquaintance of the mother. It is presented as a quiet getaway, but the wildlife is unusually aggressive and the local people behave in unsettling ways. Then a mysterious illness appears among the island's inhabitants. Those who fall ill run high fevers, turn violent and crave flesh, and the infected attack anyone nearby.
