Plot summary
On September 12, 2005, in Hollywood, Vince Vaughn opens a month of comedy at the Music Box Theater, a run built like an old west variety show. He hosts each night and improvises sketches alongside guests who turn up unannounced. Four stand-up comedians join him: Ahmed Ahmed, John Caparulo, Bret Ernst and Sebastian Maniscalco, all picked from a Los Angeles club. The group covers over 6,000 miles and plays thirty cities in thirty nights, one show a night, with stops through the West, the South and the Midwest. Off stage, the comedians sit for interviews about their lives and the personal and professional challenges the trip brings. An unscheduled matinee is added, with its proceeds donated to the Salvation Army for Hurricane Katrina victims.
