Wassup Rockers (2005) on Netflix

Plot summary

Jonathan, Kico, Milton, Porky, Eddie and Louie are Guatemalan American and Salvadoran American teenagers growing up in South Los Angeles, where hip hop is the music of the neighborhood and gangs control the streets. The friends share a different look and taste: tight pants, punk rock and skateboards. Getting through a day at home without violence takes effort, so they bus out of South Central toward Hollywood and Beverly Hills. Rich girls there notice them, and so do the police, jealous boyfriends and nervous parents. The crew runs into trouble at nearly every stop, and racial tension hangs over the hills while they skate through them.
