Untold: Hall of Shame (2023) on Netflix

Plot summary

Victor Conte runs BALCO Laboratories, a supplement and nutrition business in the Bay Area. For 16 years, he maintains, the company never dealt in illegal performance-enhancing drugs. Around 2000 that changes, and the lab's name becomes tied to the baseball player Barry Bonds and to the track-and-field athletes Marion Jones and Tim Montgomery. Athletes come to him for steroids and for the fame and world records that go with them. The documentary draws on interviews with Conte and with former associates including Montgomery, and on testimony from the anti-doping and IRS authorities who investigated the case, together with athletes who faced doping suspicions.
