Plot summary
Finn manages the apartment building where he lives with his girlfriend Callie and his best friend Jasper. His painting has stalled. When elderly tenant Mr. Bezzerides falls two months behind on rent, Callie checks on him and finds a machine that photographs their living room window, always at 8 pm, apparently showing the day ahead. The friends check his storage unit and find his body there. Jasper, a gambling addict, wants to use the machine to win bets, and the next day's photo shows the three of them doing exactly that. The same photo also shows a finished painting by Finn, which gets him past his block.
