Plot summary
Paula Parkins has money and a car and parents who are never home: her father runs a newspaper and her mother has committee meetings. She and three classmates, Georgia, Geraldine and Phyllis, put on men's clothing and hold up gas stations, and they attack a couple parked on Lover's Lane. The robberies make the front page of her father's paper, and the police put officers in disguise on night duty at the stations, which Paula learns from her father without his suspecting her. A fence named Sheila takes the stolen goods and offers the girls money to wreck a school building, a job she says clients will pay well for.
