Glenn Corbett
Biography
Glenn Corbett was an American actor who worked in film and television for more than 30 years. Born in El Monte, California, he served in the Navy before studying at Occidental College, where he began acting in campus theater plays and was signed to a Columbia Pictures contract. His film debut came in The Crimson Kimono (1959), and he took the lead in William Castle's thriller Homicidal (1961). He came to national attention in 1963 when he replaced George Maharis on the CBS drama Route 66 as Lincoln Case, and later appeared in Shenandoah (1965), Chisum (1970), alongside John Wayne, and Big Jake (1971). On television he played Zefram Cochrane in a 1967 Star Trek episode, Jason Aldrich on The Doctors from 1976 to 1981, and Paul Morgan on Dallas. He died in 1993.
