Trailer

Plot summary

Hannes lives with his mother, who is young, poor and raising him by herself. He is ten and wants more than anything to belong to the Vorstadtkrokodile, the gang the children around him admire, and the only way in is a dangerous entry test. That test goes wrong, and Kai saves Hannes's life. Kai uses a wheelchair and wants to be a Crocodile just as much, though he cannot get away from trouble the way the other children can. Hannes is ready to bring him in, but the rest of the gang is not pleased about a member in a wheelchair.

Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.

  • The song Amada Mia Amore Mio is heard from a radio in the police station scene with Ralf Richter and again in the end credits; it is a K-Rings Brothers cover of El Pasador's original, the version heard in the 1977 television film.
  • Aaron Fotheringham doubled the actor playing Kai in the chase scene, and in some shots of the finished film you can see that he was not using the wheelchair the Kai actor performs in.
