The Celestine Prophecy (2006) on Netflix

Plot summary

John Woodson teaches middle school until he loses the job, and he reaches a turning point in his life. He travels to Peru, where he explores the country and hunts for the ninth scroll, the one missing from a group of eight ancient texts said to reveal what the future holds for humanity. The scrolls are known as the Celestine Prophecy, and their nine insights describe a worldwide awakening that rises within every religious tradition and moves people toward a deeper experience of spirituality. John doubts the prophecy at first. A run of coincidences and the people he meets on the way push him further into the search.
