Plot summary
St. Vincent College in Delhi holds a legend about the Virgin Tree, which grants true love to anyone who prays under it on Valentine's Day. A spirit is said to claim a student's soul each Holika Dahan. Shantanu, recently heartbroken, asks the tree for love, and his plea rouses Mohabbat, a ghost who grows fixated on him. She punishes anyone who teases her or stands between them. Whispers, creaking doors and shadows trouble the campus, and students start avoiding the tree. As incidents multiply, the faculty and administration cannot explain what is happening and bring in Baba, a para-physicist and college alumnus, whose gadgets and lifetime of paranormal experience are meant to confront the entity.
