Fei Lung

Biography

Born in Taiwan, Fei Lung built a career in Hong Kong and other Asian film markets during the 1970s and 1980s, appearing mostly in martial arts movies. He became known for playing heavily bearded or mustached villains, and worked opposite Jimmy Wang Yu in several pictures, among them Beach of the War Gods, The Screaming Tiger (1972), Master of the Flying Guillotine and The Savage Killers. Other roles included Imperial Sword with Ling Chia, Shaolin Traitor alongside Carter Wong and Lingfeng Shangguan, and Dual Flying Kicks. His Savage Killers footage was later spoofed in Steve Oedekerk's comedy Kung Pow: Enter the Fist (2002). With the martial arts genre fading in the early 1990s, he retired after 20 years and more than 100 films, and afterward took only minor parts in film and television.
