Shiva comes to Hyderabad to stay with his friend Babai and hunt for a job. Nothing he tries suits him, so he decides to drive a taxi. He needs money: his brother has none to spare, and his sister-in-law gives him her mangalsutra, so he promises to pay for her to be admitted to a better hospital for her second delivery. With Babai and their friend Hollywood, Shiva hunts for a car he can afford and finds none. Then a stranger calls offering a car for sale; Shiva buys it and signs on with a cab service.
