Tangerines (2013) on Netflix

Plot summary

Abkhazia, a separatist region of Georgia, is at war in 1992, and the ethnic Estonian village where Ivo lives has almost emptied as its people return home to Estonia. Ivo, a carpenter, has stayed, and so has his friend Margus, who will not leave before his tangerine crop is picked. Chechen mercenaries fighting for the Abkhaz separatists stop at Ivo's door for food, and a shootout with Georgian soldiers follows outside Margus's house. One fighter is left alive on each side: Ahmed, a Chechen, and Nika, a Georgian volunteer. Both are gravely wounded, and Ivo moves them into his house and tends them. He asks each of them to promise that no revenge will be taken under his roof, though both say they will kill the other once they have the strength.
