Tamara Drewe (2010) on Netflix

Plot summary

Tamara Drewe, a journalist for The Independent, comes back to Ewedown, the Dorset village where she grew up, to put her late mother's farm up for sale, and the locals hardly recognize her after the work she has had done on her nose. Across the valley, Beth Hardiment runs a writers' retreat where her husband Nicholas, a successful crime novelist, is a frequent and unfaithful charmer. Andy Cobb, the handyman hired to prepare the farm for sale, was Tamara's sweetheart when they were young, and he is still taken with her. Tamara travels to interview Ben Sergeant, the drummer of the band Swipe, and the two begin a relationship; his teenage fans Jody Long and Casey Shaw, bored with village life, are delighted that he stays on.
