Plot summary
A school group of young animals sets out on a camping trip with Sid the Sloth as their counselor, and he aims to show them the wonders of prehistoric nature. The children realize early on that their counselor may not be qualified for the job, and they are not impressed with the outing. Sid loses the way in the woods. He uses poison oak as a badge on the beaver and swells up from it. His attempt to teach the group how to fish properly ends with a large fish swallowing him. Scrat, the acorn seeker, is out in the same wilderness, still after the perfect nut.
