Plot summary

This 2012 documentary is built around a 1995 television conversation with Steve Jobs, recorded for the documentary Triumph of the Nerds. Only a small share of the footage was used in that program. Jobs was then at the head of NeXT, the computer company he had started after his years at Apple ended. He talks about his upbringing, his rivalry with Microsoft and his expectations for computing. The full exchange ran about seventy minutes, and its master tape went missing in shipping in 1995. A PAL VHS copy was found in a garage after Jobs died in 2011, and the recovered interview was shown in seventeen American theaters before arriving on DVD.
