Plot summary
Seventeen-year-old Hannah takes interpretive dance classes and wants a place at the front of an upcoming dance meet. Her brother Leo, a wrestler, must make weight, and the family's attention stays on him. Hannah has a part-time job at a bakery and sees her friends. One day her best friend Kayden shows her a pro-ana blog on the computer in Hannah's bedroom, full of pictures of extremely thin people and tips for skipping meals. Kayden says it belongs to ButterflyAna, a friend of her cousin, and the chatroom is locked to them. Hannah goes back to the site alone and signs up. She imagines the other members as real people at a private club where nothing is served, and ButterflyAna offers to help her lose weight.
