Plot summary
A new Star Trek feature reaches screens during a period the program calls a golden age of scientific discoveries. The program asks whether a starship like the Enterprise could be built, and whether people could move between the stars as easily as Star Trek crews do. It looks behind the scenes, onto the set, and into the science: newly discovered planets beyond our solar system, the physics a warp drive would involve, and ideas about one day living in a universe of the kind Star Trek depicts.
