Sister Death (2023) on Netflix

Plot summary

In the years after the Spanish Civil War, the convent where Narcisa is sent has become a school for girls, and the Mother Superior welcomes a novice whose reported visions have made her known. Narcisa is to take over the teaching that belonged to Sister Inés, who left. In her room she finds a cigar box holding letters and scissors, along with a photograph from Sister Socorro's funeral, and a chair keeps falling on its own while a hangman is drawn unfinished on her wall. At confession she admits she doubts her gifts and her faith. Two girls find the scissors in the bathroom and are frightened by what they meet there, but Sister Julia dismisses their story and punishes Rosa, who tells Narcisa that a spirit the girls call the girl haunts the convent.
