Plot summary
A gun running criminal, Jim has killed two men during a weapons theft, and the authorities want him. His brother Chris carries him away on his boat, bound for the Sulu Sea, where Jim has friends. A storm catches the pair and wrecks them in shark-filled water off a tropical island. Pearl divers pull them from the sea, women who live in a secretive, all-female village. Its elder, Queen Pua, is cautious and hostile and wants the two men gone as soon as possible. The other women are friendly and flirtatious with the only survivors, and Chris falls in love with Mahia. Jim, a wanted man, searches for a way off the island.
