Plot summary
Akane Ayukawa teaches at a high school where her students trade a rumor: a clip on the Internet, showing a man's suicide, kills everyone who watches it. Akane dismisses the talk until Noriko Morisaki, one of her students, is found dead after viewing the footage. Detective Koiso and his partner open an investigation into the deaths, which are tied to the man in the video, the online artist Kashiwada. Risa Kitayama, a friend of the dead girl, has been looking into the clip. Akane's boyfriend, Takanori Ando, is caught up in it with her, and the ghost Sadako, the long-haired woman thrown into a well, is the power Kashiwada is trying to bring back.
