Vinny Curran
Biography
Vinny Curran is an American actor whose career has centered on work with the filmmaking pair Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead. He had worked with Benson on a beer commercial, and that led to a starring role opposite Peter Cilella in Resolution (2012), the pair's debut feature. Critics such as Serena Whitney and Anton Bitel praised his performance, and NPR's Ian Buckwalter wrote about the character's abrupt shifts in mood. Curran went on to appear in Spring (2014), The Endless (2017) and Something in the Dirt (2022). He also played a serial killer wearing a Ghostface style mask in Machine Head (2011), and filmed a behind the scenes documentary on The Endless that Arrow Films included in the movie's special edition. He starred in Everybody Dies by the End (2022) as the director Alfred Costella, a part written for him, and took Best Lead Actor at the San Diego Film Awards in 2023.
