Vic Reeves

Working under the stage name Vic Reeves, Jim Moir is a comedian and artist from England who came up through the alternative comedy circuit. His show Vic Reeves Big Night Out began as a weekly gig at Goldsmiths Tavern, where he met Bob Mortimer, and the two formed the double act Reeves and Mortimer. They made 1990s television programs including Shooting Stars, The Smell of Reeves and Mortimer and Bang, Bang, It's Reeves and Mortimer. Moir played Marty Hopkirk in the BBC thriller Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased) from 2000 to 2001, and co-hosted the Netflix reality series The Big Flower Fight in 2020. His 1991 album I Will Cure You featured the number one single Dizzy, a collaboration with the Wonder Stuff. In 2003 The Observer named Reeves and Mortimer among the 50 funniest acts in British comedy, and a 2005 poll of comedians ranked them the ninth-greatest comedy act.
