Tristan Wilds
Biography
Tristan Wilds is an American performer who acts, sings, and produces records. His early acting work included the Spike Lee-produced miniseries Miracle's Boys and guest spots on Cold Case and Law & Order. He made his film debut with a small part in Half Nelson (2006), then joined The Wire as Michael Lee, a boy in poverty looking after his younger brother. He played Dixon Wilson on 90210 from 2008 to 2013, appearing in all except three of its 114 episodes. His films include The Secret Life of Bees (2008) and the George Lucas-produced Red Tails (2012), where he played Tuskegee Airman Ray Knight. He also worked with Phylicia Rashad on stage at the Cherry Lane Theatre after a Roundabout Theatre Company workshop. He appeared in Adele's Hello music video and the VH1 movie The Breaks. His debut album New York: A Love Story (2013) earned a Grammy nomination for Best Urban Contemporary Album.

Wilds met producer Salaam Remi at the BMI Awards in 2008, and that meeting sparked his interest in becoming a music artist.

Wilds took part in a Roundabout Theatre Company acting workshop after appearing on The Wire. There he acted with Phylicia Rashad in Stockholm Brooklyn and Wool, staged at the Cherry Lane Theatre.
