Thomas Byrd
Biography
Born in 1960 and raised in Florida, Thomas Byrd is an American actor who worked mainly in network television from 1981 to 2000. He made his first television appearance in 1981 on ABC's Laverne & Shirley, and in 2000 he played Tim Walsh in two episodes of NBC's Frasier. In between he appeared on series including Family Ties, The Facts of Life, Remington Steele, Newhart, and Murder, She Wrote. He also performed stunts in several films and had a small part as a soldier in Twilight Zone: The Movie (1983). During the 1983 to 1984 season he was cast as Boone Sawyer, a teenager and aspiring Elvis Presley-style singer in 1950s Tennessee, in the short-lived NBC series Boone. Later credits included the 1985 miniseries Kane & Abel and a role as an inmate in Young Guns II (1990). In 1995 he played Lou Waller, a sportscaster, in the short-lived UPN drama Live Shot.
