Tahnee Welch

Biography

Tahnee Welch is an actress who was born in San Diego, California, in 1961 and began her acting career in Italy in the 1980s after studying acting in New York. She was cast in the lead of Amarsi un po'... (1984), a film that became popular with Italian audiences and was regularly shown on Italian television. She then returned to New York and was cast in Ron Howard's Cocoon (1985), acting alongside Jessica Tandy, Hume Cronyn and Maureen Stapleton. Even after that blockbuster, she kept working in Italy and Germany for several years and took the lead in Disperatamente Giulia (1989), a mini-series directed by Enrico Maria Salerno. Her later American independent credits included Search and Destroy (1995), adapted from a Howard Korder play, I Shot Andy Warhol (1996), which Mary Harron directed, and Amos Kollek's Sue (1997).
