Steven Martini

Steven Martini is an American actor, writer, editor, composer, and singer-songwriter. Born in New York City, he got his first acting break as Cadet Alex J. Stone in Major Payne (1995), and he also appeared in the television series Prince Street. With Derick Martini he wrote Smiling Fish and Goat on Fire, a film they financed themselves and in which they starred as the title roles; it earned the Discovery Award at the Toronto International Film Festival in 1999 and was co-written and directed by Kevin Jordan. The pair then wrote Lymelife, which drew on their childhood experiences and received the FIPRESCI award at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2008 before premiering at Sundance in 2009. Martini edited Lymelife during its New Jersey shoot and helped create its score under the Spaceship Martini name. He is the singer-songwriter for the Los Angeles band The Spaceship Martini.
