Steve Oliver

Steve Oliver was an American actor who was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and grew up in Riverside, California. Before turning to acting, he held jobs as a cab driver, roughneck, and bounty hunter, and served briefly in the U.S. Navy. His film debut came as a biker gang leader in Russ Meyer's Motorpsycho! (1965). He went on to play similar biker roles in Angels from Hell (1968) and Werewolves on Wheels (1971). He was cast by Steve McQueen as boxer Gentleman Jim Corbett in Tom Horn (1980), and appeared as a bully in the comedy The Van (1977). He was best known for his role as Lee Weber on the soap opera Peyton Place (1964), and he guest-starred as villains on television shows such as The Streets of San Francisco (1972) and CHiPs (1977). After he stopped acting in the early 1990s, he concentrated on writing screenplays. He died in 2008.
