Biography

Sam Golzari is a British actor of Iranian descent who works in the United States, born in Hammersmith, London, to parents of Persian origin. He began at four as a Michael Jackson impersonator, later earning a BA from UCLA in 2003 through its Conservatory Acting Program, and trained with the Latino Theater Company under Jose Luis Valenzuela. Though he intended to stay in the theater, student films drew him to filmmaking, and his short The Break took a best ensemble cast award at Method Fest. His television debut came when Showtime aired The Invisible Man, directed by Angela Mrema. After graduating he won the first Hollywood part he auditioned for, in American Dreamz, acting alongside Hugh Grant, Mandy Moore and Dennis Quaid, and he played Kameron in 21 (2008). His other credits include AmericanEast with Tony Shalhoub and Jimmy Vestvood: Amerikan Hero (2016), and he is a founding member of the band the Elevaters.
